I'm ready to go HD but have a space issue. I have a TV cabinet with the following dimensions 36W x 26H x 17D. Not interested in wall mounting either. Preliminary research is telling me that LCD is the only way I can get max screen size probably 32". I can control the lighting but usually watch with some lights on. Currently looking at the Mits LT-3280 ($1,999),Sony XBR ($2,700), and Samsung LN-S3251D ($1,800). I'm looking for opinions on the above as well as any suggestions. Can't research everything in the market.

Thanks

I'm not very familiar with those tv's but one suggestion I can give you is to make sure the built-in speakers are under the screen, not on the sides. If they're on the sides, then your screen is going to have to be smaller since you have limited space.

Good luck!
