Please don't laugh. My 15-year-old son just purchased a $4.99 Retractable 3.5 mm Audio Cable that supposedly easily links to any audio source with a standard 3.5 mm audio input. The cable is supposed to provide a direct connection that retains digital sound quality with no signal loss or interference. So far, this product is not working, regardless of which car radio station he switches to. What might be the problem?
Previously, we purchased a $27.00 Wi-Fi Transmitter from Best Buy a while back. However, the volume transmitted is always extremely low. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Hey All! We figured out to get the sound to transmit through the audio cable. We overlooked the fact that we should press the CD/Aux button in the car. Dahhhh

Welcome to the forum, Diane.

That's good, that you found the problem. It would have been difficult for us to figure THAT out right away!
(But I'm sure that together with you we might have.)

Have a great time on this board. Nice to know your son is happy now, with his purchase.
