I missed the original thread title. Now it reads like the start of a Jerry Seinfeld skit. "What's the deal with airline peanuts?"
Anyway, I imagine people use questionable thread titles to give others material for this board.
Also, I hate when there are thread whose titles seem to indicate there is new information about something but are really just asking what people have heard.
I have seen several that start out like:
"New price information updated for 999ES"
and the thread reads:
"Does anyone have any information on the price"
Or when the thread originator asks you to post a list of your favorite something or other, or 'which do you prefer?', but they don't mention their own preferences, always seemed a bit strange to me.
my biggest title pet peave is generic title references like these current titles...
"Twilight Zone Collection Box Sets" "Will & Grace!" "Scrooge (1935)" "Hardware? " "Armageddon Criterion Collection " "knebworth dvd " "Alternate DVD art" "Mauvais Sang, removable subtitles ? " "The Color Purple Special Edition DVD " "Dawn of the Dead? "
would it be so hard to ad more info to the titles? like
"here's a list of twilight zone dvd's coming out" "here's an article saying WILL AND GRACE is coming to dvd. "can sonmeone give their opinion on the scooge1935 dvd that just came out?" "HARDWARE dvd coming next year? is this the 1990 version?" "Is the Armageddon Criterion Collection anamorphic?" "knebworth dvd,has anyone watched this dvd yet if so how is it? " "It seems dvdcoverart.com is dead. Any others out there." "does Mauvais Sang have removable subtitles ? " "The Color Purple Special Edition DVD, is there one coming? " "Dawn of the Dead any specific info on a future release?
i know i can scroll the pointer over it to see the first few lines but i really don't want to have to do that. it's just annoyng and a pet peeve of mine.
