Why was Odyssey 5 canceled? (1 Viewer)

I've been watching this on HDNet and I really started enjoying it until I found out Showtime canceled it after 20 episodes :frowning:

Does anyone know the reason why? This was not a poorly acted or written series so I cant see why such a good concept was killed in its infancy.

Thats showtime for ya. They havent even shown all the Odyssey 5 episodes yet. Supposedly they are gonna show them in a few months They also killed Jeremiah by screwing with scheduing

We watched it, but didn't think it was too good.

Good concept, good idea's, even decent acting but it was too out there at times, like they didn't even know where they were going with things.

HDnet shows them, not sure if it has them all either.

Last I heard, Showtime wants to get out of sci-fi (After O5 and "Jeremiah" are gone, "Dead Like Me" will be all that's left.)

I canceled Showtime after they canned O5. After they sold SG-1 to SciFi and then O5 was gone there was no reason to subscribe.

I will wait for a DVD set and buy it. And I don't buy TV on DVD. I liked O5 that much. I will not subscribe to SHO just to see these final episodes.

I learned who Manny Coto was watching O5 and am only sticking with Enterprise since he's running it.
