I have bought over 1500 lasers and I never saw that problem. It definitely looks like a bad pressing. But who knows if Sam is even around any more.

I was looking for some old HTF threads from 1972 re. the ever-popular world of 8-track tapes ..... but I couldn't find any! The farthest I could go back was November 1974.
