they're under bankruptcy protection, the lenders had no choice. Neither did the unions.

I think what you'll see is the pendulum swing back towards regulation, we'll be back to very few large airlines and higher prices just as in the 70's.

It will be very unfortunate if that happens. Instead of being forced to clean up their act, airline management will become fatter and lazier, and airline passengers will suffer for it.
