Sitting in the air-conditioning these last few days mending from my surgery, I've noticing something: Even when the rest of my body is at a comfortable temperature, my nose is always freezing. What gives?

Well its probably caused by a variety reasons. First its an extremety with a lot of surface area compared to the volume of tissue in it, so it easily loses heat through radiation that way. Then you're breathing through it, that could be cooling it also since as you inhale cold air, heat moves from your nose to the air. And lastly, I don't think there's a lot of blood flow through the skin itself. So its not getting warmed up. That's my theory

Of course, you could be a dog and licking it all the time. But I'm guessing you're not a dog since you're posting on the internet.

Reminds me of the old joke that goes something like: "why does Andrew_Sch lick his ________? Because he can!"

Haw, haw, haw--that one kills me!
