I was going through different websites during work hours that had to do with DVD. I really am not familar with any except HTF. I went into about 3 different sites an I got to tell you, HTF is by far the best. It has the smartest members as well as the nicest. I went into a site called DVDtalk, I don't know if you heard of it, and I do not recommend it. I went into a post about ET and the member over there had something like this to say: " Hey, I heard this over at HTF (I know they suck, BOO!)" and then continued to talk about the ET DVD. WHAT NERVE THEY GOT. HTF is the best! I don't know if its because of our members, the great reviews of Ron, the leadership of Robert or a combination. I just want to have all these other sites to stop thinking they are better and also pat the HTF administration on the back for a job well done. I can't think of a better DVD site, can you? God Bless.

Gilbert,
Welcome aboard!
It's a bias opinion I am sure, but I think
we are the best Home Theater/DVD site on the
web. We try very hard to make this place a
professional flame-free haven for our members.
When someone new (like yourself) comes here,
they should immediately feel welcome. Parker
and I give so much credit to our membership for
treating "newbies" and fellow members with
respect. Our members are very helful to one
another here.
I'd like to kindly caution you, however, about
putting down other similar sites on this forum.
That is something we don't do here, and other
sites don't do to us as well.
I have personally talked to the owner of DVDTalk
recently, and I think there is a mutual understanding
and respect as to how both our sites differ. There
are those that don't like the strict rules we have
here and prefer to go to a forum that is more
liberal in nature. There are those that prefer
our forum where we are more strict on usernames
and how we conduct ourselves. There is no wrong
or right way to how each of us runs our forum. In fact, our differences are our strengths. As you can
see, both our forums thrive on its members that
have chosen a preferance on which to visit.
It is my hope that each forum can continue to
respect each other and our members not badmouth
one another in public,
We are happy that you chose to come here. We
think that you'll find a wealth of information
here and we will continue to work hard to keep
the reviews coming!

Ron is right. HTF is definitely different from just about any other HT board, let alone most any other BB regardless of topic, out there.
Although I'm a member of a few boards (couple of HT, couple of computer ones) I spend 80% of my surfing time here at HTF. I just find the atmosphere very agreeable, very informative, and very polite. HTF is one of those instances where I'll gladly give up the right to "say and do anything I want" in order to get good, civilized, intelligent discussion.
And Ron & Packy are THE MEN! Great job keeping this site as wonderful as it is! And the mods, of course, who probably have one of the more underappreciated jobs...

Greetings and Salutations
I spend 100% of my time surfing HTF.
I love the studio chats and I love the people who come here.
Ron and Packy, Keep up the good work. I appreciate it.
Now, If I may be excused I have to go and watch The Breakfast Club, Planes, Trains and Automobiles and other Great John Hughes movies.
Regards,
Ricky

I haven't read any of the responses, yet. In my opinion, one of the reasons the HTF is so good is due to the owners and admins keeping things in line. I know sometimes some people complain about this little thing and that little thing but things are never allowed to deteriorate into chaos like I have seen in most other forums of this nature. The people are the other major ingredient that makes the forum so good, as well as the many years of expertise that we all have.
