Why is Ad-Aware trying to access DVD-ROM drive? (1 Viewer)

Today while scanning my computer with Ad-Aware 6, a message box kept popping up which said:

"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert disk into drive E:". I had the options of Cancel, Try Again, and Continue. I had to keep clicking either cancel or continue to go on with the scan.

Any idea why this happened?

Is there a selection before you run the scan to search any of your removeable media? That's most likely it.

I picked the "Perform smart system scan" option. After clicking "next", there are no other choices. This is what I've done many times before and it never tried to access the DVD-ROM drive before.

same thing happened to me and the cd-rom drive
i'd never noticed this before the latest update either.

Well, I updated to the SE version and the problem has gone away.
