thanks to the post over at www.dvdtalk.com videogame forums, where I stole this from :emoji_thumbsup:
I'm interested in many of these games coming to the Xbox, and the fact that the Xbox is getting some great racing games (which I love) and some great games from Sega (who I also love), makes it a must-own for me. There. That's my reason. Isn't that enough?
On a related note, I was wondering how many people here would be interested in keeping a videogame release list here at the Home Theater Forum? If more than a few people are interested, what kind of features do you think should be included? I would be willing to try to keep the list(s) up-to-date, or perhaps some of you might like to contribute. (I am out of the PS2 & Game Boy loop, so maybe somebody could help out there)
Let me know if there is any interest in this. Thanks.

That list makes my mouth water.

I think it would be great if we kept a list of games coming out for the Xbox.

Oh yeah, you forgot Fellowship of the Ring which should be coming early next year.

You got my vote for a game release list! :) Nothing to fancy just some release dates would do me a world of good.

Can't wait for "The Thing" I saw the demo for this it looks good. It could be the X-Boxes answer to Resident Evil.

Those are the reasons why I'm getting an X-Box next year. As of right now, I could care less.

If we got a list of upcoming games, I would suggest info like the date, the developer, publisher, maybe a link to an official website?

I believe that would be valuable to all the main consoles. I know seeing that would be beneficial to my choice of either a Gamecube or Xbox.

Is that "Sam and Max" as in, Sam and Max Hit the Road? Based on the comic books? You know...the psychokinetic bunny thingy?

If so...wow! I'm glad I got my xbox!

Nothing at all really strikes me on the list, which is why I'm holding off on the Box.

But who knows - if I heard the name "Tony Hawk Pro Skater" before it was released, I never thought it would be a hit.

That's pretty much the task that the Xbox faces - having to develop its own franchises as much as getting existing ones to come onto the system. Going through that list and picking out the games that aren't sequels to existing game franchises that have the most potential to be good and widely appealing, I'd pick...

Simpson’s Road Rage

Blood Wake

WWF: Raw Is War

New Legends

Circus Maximus

GunValkyrie

Wreckless

Hunter: The Reckoning

Bounty Hunter

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Brute Force

Enclave

Malice: Kat's Tail

The Matrix

The Thing

Yager

Good Cop Bad Cop

Legion: Legend of Excaliber

Project EGO

Xavier Fox: The Lost City

Pirates of Skull Cove

Wrath

Some of these will be multiplatform but others will be Xbox exclusive, or at least premiering on Xbox first. But of the games that I've looked into (and admittedly there are a lot on the list that I haven't), these seem to have the best potential.
