Why not?
It's safer than crack!
Because!
Are you stupid?
Do I need to justify my actions to you? Huh? Tell me!
You wouldn't understand! It's a Home Theater thing!
I decided to spend my money on something rather than your wife!
Sorry, can't think of anymore, as it's 3:09 am. Damn I need some sleep!

There is one easy way, although it requires some equipment to do it. If your bedroom TV is still a 4:3 normal, keep a VHS of a movie you have on DVD. Walk them into that room and watch a section of the movie. Say, "How is the picture? You like?" and they should say "Sure". "Sound good" "Sounds OK, I guess".
Then walk in and play in the HT. Don't overcrank it, but enough so that they can pick out the details. Then say, "How is the picture now? How is the sound?"
If they still don't get it, if you allow a VHS to be connected to your system, play them the tape and then A-B to the DVD. This is especially good if you have a widescreen TV and a pan and scan tape, because you can point out the differences if the scene is heavily panned.
Works for me. Harder still is how to explain the 200+ DVD's you have on your rack. Just say "I need gas for this nice car!"

This is getting good, my reasons for HT are--
Cheaper then a megaplex
More comfortable and you can watch movies naked..
BETTER than megaplex
Watch a good movie anytime in any situation..
BETTER than megaplex
35mm film sucks
Oh and yeah,
HT is better than any megaplex.
Nathan
Sean Con--

Why home theater?
Why not?
Just say you like watching films on software that approaches the clarity of what you see in commercial theaters--but in your own home, on your own schedule. No sticky floors, no annoying patrons, no cell phones, no laser pointers, no $10 popcorn--and all the beer you want.
Again, why not? Home theater rules.

It is a good way to relax and get rid of life reducing stress. It opens up the imagination and keeps the mind young and active. It keeps you off street corners and other trouble. I like it and I don't care what anyone else says about it, they can stick it up their

Groucho always says it the best!
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.
Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

BECAUSE I LIKE IT!
Then just give them a demo. Watch the lobby and helicopter scenes of The Matrix just with the sound from the tv. Then use your system. Do the same thing with TS2, Titan AE, SPR, etc. That is why you want HT.
