everytime i go to print .pdf documents from adobe reader 5.0 (even one page only), my computer locks up.

i am running win xp and as far as i am concerned, it runs great...even resource-heavy apps work like a charm on my PC. Adobe kills it!

    thanks for any help!

Do you have Adobe Acrobat, or Acrobat Reader? If the former is the case, are you printing via the Acrobat Distiller?

Make sure you have the latest printer drivers too. Could be something screwy in the format translation in the printer driver (drivers in NT/XP, just like in Win 9x, have the authority to pull up the blue screen of denial).

You could try reinstalling the printer drivers. Is your printer on a network? If so, make sure it is connected to the real printer (and not a phantom printer, which can happen if a networked printer was changed).

Check the box to print as image in the print options. It's a bit slower, but if you are having print driver problems, it should do the trick.
