Why Do Companies Re-Release DVD's (1 Viewer)

that are already out looks like The Mummy, CannonBall Run and BatMan will be Re-Released in April. or are the Companies just putting more out ?

A lot of the dvd e-tailers list a price drop with a release date. So, it looks like a title is getting re-released.
