Burbank, CA, May 27, 2025 – “You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.” Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Ryan Coogler’s new vision of fear, “Sinners,” debuts Digitally at home on June 3.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Ryan Coogler, director of “Black Panther” and “Creed” and starring Michael B. Jordan, the critically acclaimed film has a “certified fresh” 97% Rotten Tomatoes score and is among the highest grossing horror movies of all time with a global box office of more than $316 million. “Sinners” posted the largest opening for an original film since “Us” was released in 2019 and is the only horror film in over 35 years to receive an “A” CinemaScore.

• On June 3, “Sinners” will be available Digitally at home on participating digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Fandango at Home, and more.

• On July 8 “Sinners” will be available to own on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD from online and physical retailers. “Sinners” will also continue to be available in high definition and standard definition from participating digital retailers.

Written and directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Coogler, “Sinners” stars Jordan in a dual role, joined by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Miller, and Delroy Lindo.

The film is produced by Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian and Ryan Coogler. The executive producers are Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield and Rebecca Cho.

Coogler’s behind-the-camera artisans include his “Black Panther” franchise collaborators: director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler, editor Michael P. Shawver, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, and Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter.

“Sinners” will be presented with expanded aspect ratio sequences, allowing consumers to see both 1.78:1 and 2.76:1 aspect ratios, as intended by the filmmaker for home viewing.

Synopsis

Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

I enjoyed the film, but for something shot in Ultra Panavision 70 and IMAX, I thought detail in the outdoor scenes, for example: in the cotton fields, were poorly rendered.

I saw this on digital last night with my girlfriend.

Some possible spoilers ahead:

I had heard many good things about it going in.

I was pretty much blown away by the cinematography and dialogue. The camera movement, at times, was tremendous.

I'm generally not fond of vampire movies, but this was pretty low-key as far as gore is concerned. I truly liked Jack O'Connell as the lead vampire and the way they incorporated Irish music into the story.

Most of all, I am always impressed with the guy whose name I didn't know, but immediately recognized as one of the best black actors in film today, who has appeared in many character roles across many films. The moment I saw him sitting on the stoop with his corn liquor, I said to myself, "Oh, cool...that guy!"

Well, "that guy" is Delroy Lindo, and he just makes this movie extra terrific.

The only disappointment was that the story fell short on explaining or incorporating more of the black magic lore that it was based on. Otherwise, we felt this film was highly entertaining.

I was surprised to see the ratio open up during the final scene. I said, "Oh look, it's IMAX" to my GF. She had no idea what the F I was talking about.

This 4K UHD is going to be STUNNING.
This man has vision and commitment to the art of visual storytelling.

Michael B is excellent in a dual role, two different men.
For a streaming download, the details sonically in Atmos are great. Immersion.
The visuals are jaw-dropping.
