It's a Warner title, so I'd expect one, but I don't think they include them in the press releases anymore. The best indication would be to look for a pre-order at WB Shop (they don't have any G:KOTM pre-orders up yet for any format).

WB Shop does have the pre-order for Detective Pikachu 3D and new release of Shazam! 3D on sale for $29.74.

The 3D disc is available for pre order on Amazon, and scheduled to arrive in August. I have a pre-order through Amazon.ca, $43.00! I trust it will go down closer to release date.

This had a really great Dolby Atmos mix in the cinema.

I am not so keen on recent Godzilla films.

    Is this any good?

The trailer makes it seem like Stranger Things.

    Ron,

If you didn't like the prior Godzilla movie or even Kong: Skull Island then you wouldn't like this film either. I liked it for what it is as a movie.

    3D SKU added. I guess I'm in!

Mucho credit to Warner for continuing to release 3D domestically

Here’s what I posted in the Movie thread.

“I thought it was a mess of a film.

Certainly entertaining with great visual effects.

But such a convoluted story, weak characters, muddy dark rainy cinematography (again!) and hard to follow battles.

A step down from the first installment (which I didn’t think was possible).

Did like Kyle Chandler (Monster Man >King King and now this).

Everyone else was annoying I thought especially (surprisingly) Millie Bobby Brown.

    I’ll still buy the 4K tho. ;)

While I think the movie's a snore, I might have to keep this 4K just for the audio.

    Man, what an amazing soundtrack!

Maybe it's time I finally get the extra speakers so I can take advantage of Atmos. If this thing sounds so good in 5.1, I can't imagine how impressive it'd be in Atmos!

Not a very positive consensus so far... Generally I support any major 3D release, whether in the US (now few and far between) or overseas. This one...I dunno. I'll need convincing.

It's a pretty dumb film but, IMO anyway, the monster effects are simply awesome and well worth the price of admission in and of themselves. Also, I really like this Godzilla design.

Yup. Just rewatched it on iTunes in 4K/Atmos and enjoyed it more than my theatrical viewing. Human stuff= dumb. Monster stuff= Awesome.

The movie was fun, despite Bradley Whitford’s Scenery chewing. Needs to come down in price.

I enjoyed it, but really want to see it in 3D, so ordered it from Amazon UK. Once I got burned on a 3D US disc being cancelled, so didn’t want to take any chances.
