No, only Give and Tyke. It was done during the Spotlight Collection years.
I just completed the final draft of my classic T&J DVD collection this month, with the remastered cartoons from the first two Golden Collections and all of the CinemaScope shorts. The remasters from GC #2 can be found here: https://mega.nz/#F!8BElTLaI!7mj7cX38AVig5xRqaBKRPA (Part 1), and https://mega.nz/#F!4RFkjIoB!y_ZSwBzzi-d7VyicdSLPog (Part 2).
For most of these shorts, you’ll need the English audio MP3s from the Spotlight Collections to sync up to the video, replacing the Polish dubbing. You’ll also need to convert the MKV files, as well the Youtube Screen recordings, to MP4 using free software that can be found online (I recommend Miro Video Converter). For the Youtube/Google Play shorts, you’ll need to purchase Movavi Screen Capture Studio.
If a remastered short from GC #2 was released stateside, or if a short was not released on any Spotlight volumes, I have included the title of the release in parentheses. For DVD authoring software, I recommend Adobe Premiere Elements 12 and ripping the DVDs to the computer with DVD Shrink for Windows, or Aimersoft DVD Ripper for Mac (I use the latter; it includes the ability to correct colors and contrast before uploading the video files to your computer, which I recommend for the 10 shorts from GC #1). Some of the darker transfers from GC #2 may also need brightness/contrast correction in Adobe Premiere before being exported to the final DVD product.
In order to legally create this fan-made set, you will need to own/purchase the following T&J sets:
The Art of Tom and Jerry Volume 2 LD

I will include attachments of DVD menu photos and the DVD covers later.
Of course, for this set to be totally complete, you’d also have to own the Chuck Jones and Gene Deitch sets. Personally, I put the Deitch disc and its booklet in the same case as the Chuck Jones set with the embossed outer slipcover to achieve a “1960s Tom and Jerry” set rather than just a Chuck Jones set.
Those come from the German Amazon (I know who synced the Polish audio). The bitrate and resolution is really low.
Here's the real thing:
Well, personally I will admit that the quality of the Amazon Primes are good enough for me, especially since the remasters look much better than the old TV prints, plus they're easier for everyone to access this way. No TV logos, either.
Also, did overseas Amazon Prime release the fullscreen CJ shorts?
Has anyone here (or somebody that you know) ever had the opportunity to see the stamp scene that was cut from the reissue of Yankee Doodle Mouse? I really hope that a reel with the original version of the short is eventually found one day. Since the background and script still exist, maybe it would be possible to recreate the scene (without the music of course)?
I owned a UK Super 8mm print of this cartoon, but have long-since sold it (what an idiot!), and do not recall the scene you mention. It was probably in there, though.
Has anyone seen the Tom and Jerry Prestige DVD set from overseas? Apparently it came out at the end of 2015. I'm curious if it uses the old transfers or the new ones. Likely the old since there isn't much info on it that I could find, but confirmation would be helpful.
The description says that it has 159 shorts, which I'm assuming means Casanova Cat and Mouse Cleaning have been excluded. Most of the discs from my Spotlight Collections are all in terrible shape and tend freeze up a lot, so I may look into this set.
I have the non-Prestige U.K. Tom and Jerry complete set and it actually includes Mouse Cleaning and Casanova Cat, and both are unedited! Most of the shorts look really good on that set as well, better than the Spotlight Collection but not to the pristine remastered level of the Golden Collection. The set also doesn't seem to be region restricted. That's the good news.
The bad news for the U.K. set is that The Million Dollar Cat and Busy Buddies, are not included, and most of all of the shorts contain re-dubbed Mammy Two-Shoes tracks (although she is left unedited in Mouse Cleaning). That set also ruins the Cinemescope shorts by using Pan and Scan.
I'm very interested in this new Prestige set. It would be awesome if they used the new remastered cartoons, but it might only be repackaging of the sets already out there. I wish there was more information on it.
It looks like they recycled the Classic Collection DVDs once again. Back then they literally threw the TV prints as they were with an audio pop remover which ended up removing some actual sounds from the cartoons.
They also forgot The Million Dollar Cat and Busy Buddies while they were in the VHS sets. At least Mouse Cleaning and Casanova Cat are there, uncut.
Looks like the old classic collection with the french audio track (the package i have has english, spanish, italian, german and ¿turkish? (if i'm not bad) audio tracks)
Yeah, I just checked myself. The guy who supplied them took it off for some reason. I did send them (the English versions, which I sync'd the audio to) to another guy, but I also recreated the titles at the beginning and end of most of the cartoons to simulate the original titles. Hopefully I'll have them re-uploaded within the next few days or so.
