Awsome I'm in.
Nice to see this, but if I want the BD I have to pay for all the extra tchotchkes and a case that won't fit on my shelf? Lame.
Great! I'd rather have an AC/DC film on blu-ray than "The Magnificent Ambersons" Thanks for keeping your priorities straight, WHV.
I'm quite sure there are plenty of people who are interested in AC/DC but not Magnificent Ambersons. What makes your opinion better than theirs?
Looks to me like a blu case is there too.
Exactly. I'll take both but this is coming so I'll take it.
Tony, the section with the disc-only edition only shows a DVD.
True, but if you were only complaint was the case doesn't fit on a shelf, the special edition does seem to include the blu ray case too. That was what I saw your complaint as, but yes the blu comes only with the extras.
As this is the only concert film by AC/DC featuring Bon Scott on vocals, it is of historical significance, as is Ambersons. I fail to see how this suggests a mix-up in priorities, as Warner is actively working on getting the best possible elements for Ambersons instead of rushing it into production. If they manage to uncover the missing footage, that will make it even more historically significant, much like the most recent restoration of Metropolis.
That was just me being a snot nosed cineaste
Ok as long as it was all in good fun.
The size of the box is the least of my complaints. I'm far more concerned with being required to pay an extra $18 for crap that I don't want. Hopefully this will go the way of other WB BD sets and the BD will be released separately at some point. I'll wait.
