Who is responsible for getting the Miyazaki films released in widescreen on VHS? I was thinking it might be John Lassater, or it might be Miyazaki himself, but then again he did let Fox release My Neighbor Toroto P&S, so who knows who it was.

Fox released in P&S only because that's the only master they had access to. I think it was said earlier that when the rights revert (probably to Disney for US dist.) that it would likely be original widescreen.

I can't quite figure this, because the LD release of My Neighbor Totoro was letterboxed.

Ok, so now that it's settled that Fox released it PS because that's what they had access to, can we get back to my original question? Does anyone know?
