Just wanna see if it's still expected to be out on the 18th.
I'm looking forward to this title and seeing a 1080i game!

Not me. I won't buy a game for 1080i. I fully expect games like MechAssault, Metroid, and Splinter Cell to keep me busy through the new year.

I remember getting superbly pissed playing the original arcade game and now it's time for revenge! I will beat this game! [IMG]

This one is on the Xmas list. I can wait to play it, but if it was a gift I would surely enjoy it in 1080i splendor.

I don't see why. It's not like you haven't been playing high resolution games on your PC already. It's not like 1080i will make a bad game good.

I'd rather have games consistantly support at least 480p and be 16:9, anything more is a bonus. Mech Assault in 4:3 is just another slap in the face.

I was thinking about but I've heard it has a few problems. Still, it looks very good.

Well, perhaps I should have said there are 1,081 reasons. The number one reason being, I loved the original (played in on SegaCD). Took me a while to beat it, but it was an awful lot of fun. The fight with the Lizard King in particular is one of my favorite videogame memories. [IMG]

You have a 55inch HDTV and you don't have your PC hooked up to it? For shame.[IMG]
I'm using a Radeon 8500's second VGA output to my HDTV. Mainly for DVD watching, but it looks so much better than the best progressive player. A few games, but I love running Winamp+Milkdrop visualization on it. Wild!

You haven't lived till you've seen DVD's played back with Zoomplayer+Sonic DVD+FFDSHOW filter. The best progressive scan players can't even come close. But now we're getting into HTPC areas.

Just make sure the next videocard you get has a 2nd VGA port. My HDTV is just a 30" 16:9 CRT, so it's got RGB and YPrPb support. When I get a larger HDTV I'll make sure it's got something to hook up to a PC, like a DVI port. I can't live without it now.

Maybe the next gen of nVidia's cards will support component output.
