On monday, Whole Foods will be lowering some of it's prices as a result of the acquisition by Amazon. I've seen a newspaper article saying that I can earn Amazon Rewards points of WF. Which begs the question: how do I attach my purchases at WF to my account at Amazon?

I went to Amazon and found no mention of it there.

Ok, that means some prices will drop at WF starting Monday. It will take a while to integrate Prime and WF. If you're not Prime, you don't get the extra bennies. That's the way I read it.

Hey, @Johnny Angell . What's your experience with Whole Foods in Little Rock? My wife has been ordered to follow a strict gluten-free diet and her doctor suggested she shop at Whole Foods instead of Kroger because WF supposedly has a much better selection of gluten-free items. I'm wondering if it's actually worth the extra $$ that I'm sure it will cost over what we pay at Kroger plus the one hour round-trip drive compared to our current 10-minute round trip drive to Kroger.

A year a ago it was thought my wife had inflammatory arthritis and the specialist said go gluten free, so we did. Stacy says Whole Wages has the best selection but they are expensive. Even for regular stuff. If you are Amazon Prime member, you can shop online and get free delivery, but I doubt that would extend to Conway. You could still shop online and do pickup. Might not need to be Prime to do that.

At the time, she found the stuff she was looking for at Whole Foods, but that was also pre-covid. I”m not sure what it’s like now, but you can look online. Expect to pay more. Stacy agrees they have the best selection.

Google is your friend, look for gluten free that way.

After some testing, they changed Stacy’s diagnosis. She doesn’t have IA. It was one of her hormone suppressant drugs, which she takes to reduce the recurrence of cancer. So we are off GF, which makes me happy.

Whole Wages? Is that The Simpsons version in Springfield, down the street from the Try-N-Save? :D

Thanks for the advice. I’ve heard them called Whole Paycheck before and I figured it was because they’re more expensive. From what I’ve been reading, fresh produce is the same or a bit lower in price than Kroger but most other things, especially meats, can range 25%-50% more.
I’m a Prime subscriber so I‘ll get a bit of a discount on certain things. I also checked through Amazon and WF Market doesn’t deliver to Conway so I’ll either have to go after work (unlikely) or make a special trip back to Little Rock on the weekend.

My wife has been bounced from her PCP to a gastroenterologist to a hematologist to an oncologist and finally to a rheumatologist and they all agree on two things. 1: She has an unidentified autoimmune disorder that mimics lupus and 2: She has Coeliac disease which is also an autoimmune disorder that creates an unpleasant reaction to gluten. They believe completely removing gluten from her diet may stop setting off her autoimmune response and all the fantastically horrible symptoms that it creates. A few years ago, she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia so they’re hoping it will reduce the symptoms of that as well.
