How do I go about finding someone who can run speaker wires for me. I moved to a new home and would like speaker wires run in the walls. I live near San Mateo, CA. Anyone have any suggestions on where to look? Who does this type of work? Electricians?
thanks;)

Electricians, burglar alarm installers, CATV, networking or telephone guys – basically wire is wire, so anyone who is skilled in retrofits can do it.

However, they probably won’t be attuned to the finer points of home theater, so it will be up to you to make sure they use the right wire (probably in-wall-rated in this case), gauge, etc.

I find myself redoing the work of electricians quite often (they tend touse cheaper wire that's not suited to what they are doing especially with video (I just pulled 1000 feet of rg59 out of a house the electrician ran for digital cable new build) check your local home theater store they may do it, or have someone that does (usually you'll get a better job since it won't be a fly by nighter)
