Some cartoons shown on Nickelodeon that I used to love to watch as a kid were Belle and Sebastian, The Little Prince, David the Gnome, Banana Man, Danger Mouse, and Count Duckula. They were probably shown on other networks, but Nickelodeon is where I remember seeing them. I wish I could find them on TV now, but no luck so far. Hopefully someday another network will show them again.

I think I watched David the Gnome...it was about garden gnome-type things, right? And they lived in a tree? I don't really remember.

Yea they looked like garden gnomes and lived in a tree. I think the whole village lived in trees or in the ground.

Tom Bosley who was on Happy Days as Mr Cunningham did the voice of David the Gnome.

I haven't seen these two on Nick in a while but I loved em: Doug and Maya the Bee.

I used to watch Maya the Bee and Doug too. Maya the Bee was great. I also liked the Noozles.

Uh actually I think it was called "Mysterious Cities of Gold" Mike.

I remember Belle and Sebastian. That was the series with the big white dog and the orphan boy. Wasn't there also a little yellow dog that travelled with them?

The Little Prince, that was the one where the kid lived on this little planet that was only big enough to hold his house and there was a flower there and he traveled to earth hitching rides on comets.

    Fond memories.

I liked the live action shows too. Wasn't there a show where this couple worked in a shop in a mall. And the guy had this hat where if he took it off, he would turn into a mannequin. And the only way to turn him back would be to put the had back on and say "Hocus Pocus Alamagocus" or something like that?

    Maybe not.

That was Today's Special, Shaun. I used to watch that along with Pinwheel.

Doug WAS neat. However, I think that it really started to suck when Disney picked up the rights to the show and changed the voice cast.

Wow, this thread is like taking a trip in the way-back machine [IMG]

I remember all of the shows, but thanks to Shaun and StephenA most of all for mentioning Today's Special. A friend of mine and I were discussing that crazy-ass mannequin show and we couldn't remember the name.

There's a coincidence for you. Just two weeks ago I converted all five of my HBO/Thames Danger Mouse VHS tapes to DVD. [IMG]

Anyone else remember You Can't Do That On Televison? The show which pretty much made the famous green slime popular. Didn't it have Corey Feldman on it? I remember all those shows. I grew up on them. THose were the days. Now they freaking have Full House on Nick at Nite! Give me a break!
