I just watched the new Discovery channel series "Perfect Disaster". They aired the first two episodes..."Super Tornado" and "Solar Storm". Geez, between this and the other super-disaster shows I have seen (ie-Super volcano in Yellowstone or Megaquake) I am afraid to leave my house. I might have to go and build a big shelter for my family. Did anyone else see these shows? The one with the Solar Storm was very interesting. Seems like if they even think something that big is going to hit. Don't take the risk..shut down the grid. I'd rather have a few hours of inconvenience than months or even years for power to return.

Better not watch the series "I Shouldn't be Alive" then!!!

I think the disaster stuff sells pretty well, especially post-katrina/Indonesia times...

It's at least a break from all the home-based reality shows these days on TLC, etc..

I did see the docudrama "Supervolcano". It was disturbing, considering Yellowstone has already erupted in a devastating way 3 other times, and I hadn't known about the risks before I watched it.
I guess it's all a matter of putting risks in perspective. You certainly can't do anything about them.
I haven't seen the others you mentioned, though.
