Ill have to ask my mom for the recipie, but she teaches classes on making jerky for food storage at various churches around here. She has one recipie that uses lean hamburger and your oven, so no need for a dehydrator, although the really good stuff you need a dehydrator for. If I can get ahold of her or find it, Ill try to post it.
btw...the hamberger stuff is pretty good, a little like those chopped and pressed kipper snacks or whatever they call them.
