    Gregg,
I was really getting excited about SACD and DVD-A until this weekend [IMG]
I went to EVERY local music store I could think of in town, including Barnes and Noble and Borders. Not one person I spoke with has even heard of either format, much less selling them [IMG]
I'm still going to keep my eyes open, but it may be some time before I invest in a transport for either format. I would love to take advantage, but without software...it's next to impossible.
BTW, that's the weekend of my 30th birthday....I would love to join you guys, but due to the present situation, I'm obligated to be very close to work (radio station) from now until who knows when!
Have a great time in LA....I'm looking forward to joining you gents one of these days [IMG]
    Jeremy

Forgot to mention that Joe Kane, creator of Video Essentials, will be the guest speaker.
I just ordered my first DVD A disc today. I am really looking forward to demoing the gear in LA. [IMG]

Its not a dumb question Dalton. What IS dumb is Outlaw taking pre orders for it, and there isent a trace of it on thier site. Not even one picture of it. If there is, I couldent find it.

Since I live near L.A., I am very worried about getting attacked by an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missle.
And no, that's not supposed to be a joke, that's was I was first thinking of when I read the topic. In light of the current situation our nation is facing, I felt it was rather ironic.

I have a question. My Marantz sr7200 has a fixed crossover of 100hz. Am I correct in assuming I will be able to change that with an ICBM. The 100hz crossover is a little high for me especially with my pair of svs 25-31's. Is the ICBM a big benefit for me? Thanks for any suggestions.

I think it will be of benefit to you, and me as well. I was going to spring for a new receiver this year because of that crossover, but now I don't have to. I plan to use the ICBM by setting all channels to large and sub to yes. I'll then use the pre-outs from all the channels to feed the ICBM. I'll set the crossover for the front three channels at 60Hz (they're identical and start to roll off there) and the rears to 80Hz and then feed my sub. This should be the best of all possible worlds as the sub will start picking up for all channels just as they start to roll off naturally. It'll be at most one third the cost of upgrading the receiver.
