Who has experienced the MTX subs? (for friend) (1 Viewer)

My buddy is venturing into the HT realm, and I have been offering him my limited experience. I have the Dayton 10" for my modest HT setup and am very impressed. I have tried to prod him in this direction, especially for his first foray... But alas, he is kinda stuck on the MTX 1212. We have a local dealer that is kinda high on his prices, but will deal. They also sell Denon, Onkyo, and loads of car audio. (small town!!)
Not too sure if anyone has had experiences They seem kinda new. Share 'em if ya got 'em!!!

My friendly local PSB/NAD dealer also carries MTX. Its pretty much crap in comparison.

I really have no experience with dayton audio to compare. But i do own a MTX SUB-15 (older version of SW-1515 with same exact specs, just different veneer). and for the $299 i paid for it it is hard to beat. visit my website for more info.
