Who does the ratings for the Guide plus? (1 Viewer)

I was flipping through my interactive programming guide and noticed "My Mother is a Werewolf" from 1989 had 2 stars. I turned it on and realized it was the absolute worst excuse for a movie I've seen in a long long time. Who would give it 2 stars!?!?

Also, I think Costner's flop "Waterworld" received 3 out of 4. I've never actually watched it, so I can't say.. but I've heard some pretty bad reviews.

Do they just make these things up!??! Where are those stars coming from??

The MST3K gang always made fun of Leonard Maltin's ratings. Half the movies they did were 2 stars+
They actually got him to appear on one ep
