Totally aesthetic question here - besides NHT, who makes surround bookshelf speakers with all-white piano lacquer high-gloss finishes?

    Thanks

Personally, I've never seen anyone else do piano lacquer finishes (I'm sure there are some). I don't know how NHT does it at their prices either.

Well, let's just say white gloss finishes; not necessarily 'piano lacquer.' My wife loves the white high-gloss look for our family room, and I'm trying to search out all options - although NHT is currently my only choice.

    Thanks.

Probably the lower production cost from manufacturing in China. Just received my NHT SB2 2 days ago....what a gorgeous speaker.

Look at the Pinnacle Black Diamond series speakers. They offer them in gloss black and gloss white. I saw them at the 2002 CEDIA show and they were very nice looking. I like the gloss white much more than gloss black (don't like gloss black anything for the most part) so maybe you're wife will like them too. [IMG]

Probably not much available these days in gloss white. Many years ago JBL made one called the Aquarius. Yamaha also offered their "natural sound" series in gloss white. There are a number of high-end companies that will do custom finishes, like Wilson, Dunlavy, Thiel, etc.

You might be better off selecting the speakers you want and having them painted white. Not a huge job, and definitely DIY-able... but a furniture shop might charge a few hundred bucks for it...
