Alright, I've seconded Fight Club myself just to get things rolling. Let's begin!
Round 1, Bracket 1
13 Conversations About One Thing vs. 9 to 5
I haven't seen 13CA1T, so I abstain. As you vote, keep in mind not only which is the better film, but also which best portrays the daily hell of working an office job.

Here's a few others I considered nominating, and why I ultimately decided not to:

How to Get Ahead in Advertising - if I recall correctly, he was pretty passionate about his job. Also, I hate Richard Grant intensely.

Bright Lights, Big City - the job wasn't important enough to the story.

What Happened Was... - I figured no one else would have seen it.

Being John Malkovich - don't like the movie.

You Can't Take It With You - the main characters are too powerful, only the timid toymaker guy would count, and his role is too small.

I think it's a pretty cool idea to have a strict guideline a la Hardcore SciFi tourney SteveGon (or was it georgekaplan?) ran some months ago.
The "hard core" and "regular" sci-fi tourneys, and the debate that they created, seemed headed for the "Tournament Hall of Fame".
