Whise Profunder: Great Sub disappeared?

    This expensive sub was in the highest echelon of commercially made subs, up there with the 18 inch Velodynes, HSU 1220, Paradigm Servo 15. I know that other fine subs have appeared in the last 5 years, including the a hand full of SVS models.

    Probably a combination of the coffee table size, commensurate weight, high price and the need for outside amps kept the Profunder in the shadows.

    It is still available from TMH, the company founded by Tomlinson Holman. He has a great background, and has a 10.2 system that those lucky enough to listen to are quite impressed by.

    They are made in Australia,maybe the reason why it's not that widely known here.

    Dr. Mark Waldrep of AIX Records (hi-end dvd-audio label) uses a Profunder in his studio.
