I am setting up the sound system in my new theater. I have two subwoofers. The first is a Sony 12” front facing. The second is a 10” bottom facing JBL that came with my 6.1 speaker system. Both of them are 150 watts. My theater is approximately 13’w x 14’d
Is there any advantage to using both?
Is there any problem using both?
What is the difference in sound between front and bottom facing speakers?
    Any difference in floor vibration?
    Thanks

The question of using 2 subs in different positions in your room is open to debate. Tom Nousaine, perhaps the best known subwoofer tester in the US right now, has done some tests and said that two subs in different positions in the room make for more uneven frequency response. Other testers say that 2 subs make the frequency response better. I, for one, tend to abide by the graphs that Nousaine published 5 or 6 years ago showing a problem. But who knows.

Trust your ears. Set em up however they sound best to you.
