I am getting my set calibrated by Gregg this month.

I was wondering, which DVD's should I watch after calibration.

Which titles are a good reference to see the true value of ISF?

A couple of dvds to consider: The Fifth Element (Superbit), Pearl Harbor (Vista Series) and Lord of the Rings (The Fellowship of the Ring, extended version).

Thanks, what do you think about the regular version of the Fifth Element?

How about recent movies like Cold Mountain?

Cold mountain wasn't very detailed from my recollection. The superbit fifth element is one of those classic DVDs that is superb. Really, you should just watch whatever, but if you want eye candy, try finding one of the demo dvd or reference dvd threads that hang around on the forums sometimes, thats a great place to find ideas on great picture and sound.

    2. Finding Nemo : For the kids ![IMG]
    3. Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
    4. Seven: Platinum Series
    5. Matrix: Revolutions & Reloaded
    6. T2: Extreme Edition
    7. LOTR's : All of them! 10 hour marathon![IMG]
    8. Fifth Element: Superbit
    9. Master and Commander
    10. MIB I & II : Superbit or Special Edition

Shoot for movies shot in High Def, like #1 and #3, there are some not so good movies that look really good like "Driven" & Final Destination 2 that a worth watching just for PQ.. But you won't go wrong with any of those ! JMO
    Enjoy!![IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
