I need to decide which sub to get. I am trying to decide between a SVS 25-31CS (tuned to 22hz) or a 20-39CS. Also, I will be using a Denon PMA-750 (80x2) to power it for a while.

What's the size of your HT room? Personally I'd get the 20-39 but I'm a bit biased. ;)

My HT room is 12x15x12. I was thinking of getting the 25-31CS first, but the 20-39hz only being $50 made me think a bit. Since I heard the 25-31CS has the largest SPL and can be custom tuned to 22hz, I wasn't sure if having 2hz less would be much of a difference. Also, I'm not sure how/if the custom tune would affect the performance of the 25-31CS.

I also forgot to add that I will be using this for DVDs, music, and games.

Even though the SVS CS cylinder subs are efficient, I would recommend against using an 80 watt amp to power a CS subwoofer.

Even if the amp is rated into a 4 ohm load, you should still carefully research its rated capacitance and amperage. At all but moderate playback levels, you might send the amp into clipping and/or protection mode.

If you are planning on upgrading the amp in the near future, look for around 300-350 watts per channel into 4 ohms with high current capacity.

You would be hard pressed to hear more than subtle differences between these three subs:

25-31 CS (25 Hz tune)
"22-31" CS (a 25-31 CS with a factory 22 Hz tune – longer vent)
20-39 CS (20 Hz tune)

The 20-39 CS will troll the lowest, but it probably won't be obvious on most program material. And the 25-31 CS will play the loudest by a small margin (maybe 1.0-1.5 dB) due to its slightly higher tune point.
