I went to the Shack and got my RS Gold interconnects. Yes i am cheap.
But the 12 gauge speaker wire they list is at 99c per foot, with no mention of reels - so 100 feet would be $ 99 + tax. umm, no thanks!! [IMG] [IMG]
I don't have a Home Depot in my neighbourhood, so any ideas where i can get some?
    Does wal-mart usually have that?

The problem here is the shipping - the 50' roll of AWG12 comes to 21.50+8.80 = $30.30. [IMG] Not so good.
    Apart from Sears...?

At radio shack don't they also sell automotive speaker wire that's 8 gauge extra insulated? It's like 99 cent's each wire so it would be 2 dollars for a pair of red/black wire.

Anyone know if it would be ok to use 8 gauge speaker wire and I just twisted the red and black wire like a candy cane?

partsexpress.com sells speaker wire as well.

Check your local high end dealer. Sometimes they can be suprisingly reasonable for speaker wire and accessories. I would also try www.partsexpress.com

The PartsExpress wire that was mentioned earlier is $40/100' roll shipped. I've bought two rolls from them now and really like the stuff.
