Im working on a 3 way (midbass/midrange/tweeter) design that will be taking about 120 watts RMS, but most likely rarely go that high. I'm looking at the monster cable speaker wire throughout the system. What gauges should I use? I'm trying to decide between 14 GA or twelve GA all the way through from the amp the the crossover to the speakers, or something like 12 GA to the crossover and 14 GA to the speakers to keep from messing with the current. Any suggestions?

You'd be safe with just 14 gauge all the way IMO.

I've never heard any problems with mixing gauges either. If the price difference is nothing 12 gauge would be safer though 14 gauge is more than adequate to handle well over 120 watts.
