Howdy, I will be moving soon and I'm going to be selling my current home theater and music setup and starting over when I get settled. At the moment I use:
Four Adcom GFA-555's at 200wpc x2 each
Vandersteen 3's for the fronts
Vandersteen 2Ci's for side and rear
Vandersteen VCC-1
SVS sub (the tall one, I can't remember model number)
Anyway, I'm looking at three speaker brands:
Vandersteen (again)
Magnepan
Martin Logan
To drive these speakers I'm looking at the following amp combos:
Aragon 8008x5 and an 8008BB
Two Citation 7.1s (probably will bring two channels to give extra juice to the center, especially if I get the new Vandersteen VCC-5)
Rotel RB-1080 and RMB-1095
I'm also looking at equivelant amp combos by Sherbourn, Parasouns, the newer Aragons, etc.
So, which amps and/or speakers would you use? I'd want very much to take a step up from the Adcom GFA-555's without sacrificing much if any power.
Thanks!
