Which satellite internet providers should I consider? (1 Viewer)

56k has finally broken my will to be cheap and DSL nor cable internet are available to me. Here in MD, that leaves me with satellite internet.

My question is which ones would you recommend?

I want to be able to wirelessly connect 2 other computers and a laptop in my home. Cost is a consideration, both installation and monthly fees. I would also consider adding satellite TV to the package but it is not a must. Downloading speed is more important than uploading. I don't need web space or hosting.

Is there anything else I should consider?

I dont know about direct tv., but dish network has Starband. The down side is about 500 kbs and the up is about 128. you can get dish network programing on the same dish. Dish network is trying to merge (buy out) with direct tv., so who knows what the future holds. Here's the really bad news. The price. $69.00 for starband/month.
