Hello All,
I looking to buy a receiver for my home theater.I'm currently looking at the Denon 3802.But Iv'e been searching the net and found the
Onkyo TX-DS797 A/V receiver with THX at
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/salestor...xavrecthx.html
And the JVC RX-DP9V A/V Receiver with THX at
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/legacy2/jvcrxavrecne.html
for around the same price.I plan on using HTD combo Y speaker system at http://store.yahoo.com/htd/levthre51set.html in a room about 400 sq/ft.
Ive heard good thing about Denon.Has anyone heard about the Onkyo or JVC system with THX?
Your help will be appreciated.
THANX......

Is money an issue? I'm not overly sure about the Onkyo or the JVC (though I have heard praise for the JVC), but if money isn't a problem, I would go with the Denon. I've checked the 3802 and from what I've seen, it's pretty awesome. It has everything you would need.

From what I have read, DPLII does a real good job with matrix surround. That is what THX was designed to enhance. Some folks like THX, especially if they have bright sounding speakers. If your speakers are not bright sounding, THX probably should not be the deal maker.
