There are many good suggestions that I agree with. Just a few others that come to mind are

Gunsmoke (before Dennis Weaver left the cast)
Poirot (Mystery! on PBS)
Prime Suspect
Brideshead Revisited
Upstairs Downstairs
The Carol Burnett Show
Your Show of Shows

Maybe in 100 years they'll release seasons 4-6 of Green Acres.

BOSTON LEGAL - For a couple of reasons. Political commentary woven into the show, which I didn't always agree with but which was done in an entertaining manner like a lot of 70s sitcoms. The great onscreen chemistry between Shatner and James Spader.

MAVERICK - The classic non-cowboy western with a fun sense of humor. Well worthy.

ALL IN THE FAMILY - Great funny show that stands up after all this time. Who doesn't know a Mike or Archie????

I think these are three classic shows from different eras.

I'd add the following for historical reasons:

ALL IN THE FAMILY, because it would so accurately tell future generations where this country was in the early 70's.

THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW, because it was such a cultural barometer of the changing tastes in entertainment during its run.

The following variety shows, because they epitomize the now-lost art of entertaining large, diverse masses using the best talent of the twentieth century:

THE KRAFT MUSIC HALL

THE DINAH SHORE CHEVY SHOW

THE GARRY MOORE SHOW

THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE

A little surprised that no one has mentioned:

Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In

In that same vein one might consider:

The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.
