All things being equal, a B&K Reference 50 or an Aragon Stage One? Or should I save some $$ and get an Outlaw 950? Thanks!

I would say Stage One. The Aragon PreAmps (especially the Sound Stage) are known to have huge soundstages (go figure... heh) although I'm still a bit hesistant w/ the new Klipsch ownership. Sure it looks spiffier than the Soundstage but I'm not so sure about its quality.

As for the B&K Ref 50 - it has that muting circuit implementation issue. B&K refuses to put a muting circuit in it so make sure you can deal with the *pops*

As for the Outlaw- it really depends on your current setup and your budget for the upgrade. Just make sure that it won't become your weakest link b/c the other two processors are definitely a few steps up from it.

All things being equal? Except they're all way different!

    Outlaw: Good features, price.
    B&K: Excellent features, upgradable, price.
    Aragon: Better features, upgradable?

    IMHO of course.

Yeah - I would agree w/ that assessment - that's my post but in under 15 words.
