I've seen a lot of people recommend the 4802 on this forum. I have the 2802 and am very happy with it.

I have a Pioneer DVD - player, but I would go with the Denon anyway. They make very good receivers.

I choose the 49TX...:D :D :D
I'd wait till Denon makes the 3803 or 4803 and hopefully have ALL the necessary Formats PLUS upgradability!
Good Luck Man!

Ok, I have decided that if the 47tx that I have on order does not arrive by this Friday then I am going to cancel that order and go with a Sony 5ES and a 3 channel amp for the front stage. I like all of the features the Sony has to offer.

I personally wouldn't buy Sony.
Review in the Jan S&V that compared a Sony receiver to two other manufacturer's. The Sony was under powered.
And, their ES multi-channel amp also has problems. Reliability and also under powered:

Go down to "A PROBLEM WE THOUGHT".
I would stick to your original choices, but also maybe take a look at Yamaha too. :)

Well, my credit card just got charged so maybe my 47TX is on its way. Can wait to mate the TX with my Divas.

Our opinions don't mean a thing to you, unless you know why they were formed.

I'd buy the one with the phono preamp.
