Just for CDs and MP3s? There will be no appreciable difference. I'd recommend the XP30 if you can find one, if not the Denon DVD-910.

There will certainly be differences if you want to use the PLAYERS DAC's instead of a prepro/receiver. The higher priced units use better dacs and power supplies for the most part.

If all you want/need is a transport and let the receiver/prepro do the decoding, then you won't find too much difference.
