I need a new mid-size TV 27 inch or so in the 250 to 300 dollar range, out of the following which would you recomend.

RCA F27440
Sansui TVS2746
Sharp 27U-S50

Rob,

Current RCA sets are known for poor reliability, but their pq isn't bad.

Sansui was a big name in HiFi about 25 years ago, somebody bought the name and is slapping it on low end stuff with no track record.

Sharp is a good reliable make at a very reasonable price. PQ in general is as good as it gets at the lower price points. They are a Japanese company that's been making good quality electronics since the 60s.
