I can't decide between a yamaha rec (htr-5460)5.1 or pioneer (vsx-d850s) 6.1. both around same price. Which would be a better purch? I would mostly be using it for movies but occasionally for music. Thanks

I think that the Yamaha is a much better sounding unit. If you do not need the 6.1 go with the Yammy. If you do want the 6.1 the Htr-5560 will be out soon which features 6.1 i believe. Jason

Definately go w/ the Yamaha. The Pioneer is good for your needs, but the Yamaha is much better.

Yamaha invented DSP Digital Sound Processing so I think

it is the better choice.
