We have narrowed it down to two, and 50" is as big as we can go...
We would love to go to the 1080p technology, but that's just a bit cost prohibitive for us right now. The 780p technology is good enough for us. The Sony is on sale at Best Buy for $1,619, and the Samsung is $1,499 (either one less 12% from a coupon I just got in the mail), about $250 for the 4-year warranty, $100 for the upconvert DVD player, $80 for the Monster Power Surge Protector, and all of this at no interest until 2010 ($10 minimum monthly payments)...
1. Samsung 50" DLP HDTV
2. Sony 50" Grand WEGA LCD HDTV
$118 bucks apart, but we do not know enought about these TVs to make a rational decission. Assistance and opinions would be appreciated...
