Probably a lame thread but I'm curious to see what you have to say.

My DVD collection is sitting at 694, 6 more and I break 700. So, as the thread title states, what DVd would you buy for #700?

I have two in mind, both Criterions....Brazil or Spartacus. Leaning towards Brazil.

I'd go for Brazil. It's one of the best DVD releases to date.

I have 79 DVD's and I'm pretty sure I'll reach 100 by the end of this year.

I'd prefer having my 100th DVD be Around the World in Eighty Days. It's supposed to be coming out in Q4 2002 and looks like it'll be a spectacular DVD release.

If it's a 2003 release, I'll gladly go with the 1927 Metropolis if it finally gets released.

I lost count of how many DVDs I own, so I thought of another milestone, which I already reached:

Worst movie/TV program you own on DVD, which is definitely the two episodes of The Brady Bunch Variety Hour that Rhino put out. Even worse than Pink Lady and Jeff.

Coming from a huge Kubrick fan, get Brazil. Spartacus is good, but has a lot of flaws. Brazil is also a better DVD, if it being non-anamorphic matters to you.
