I'm using a Denon 2802, and I have Boston Acoustics VR-M60's as my mains and a Velodyne SPL1200 sub. I currently have my speakers set to small and the crossover at 80Hz. My other choices are 100Hz or 120Hz. Am I using the correct setting. It seems that I have to turn the volume up on the sub to at least the half-way mark to really hear the bass. Any suggestions?

I have my sub set to bypass its own internal crossover so that the crossover is done by the receiver.

The Boston Acoustics VR-M60 has a 6.5" woofer and should work well with an 80 Hz crossover.

Vlad, you might also want to check to see what your receiver's sub volume control (I think Denon calls it the subwoofer channel level--see page 17 of the manual) is set to. Default is 0, I believe...[IMG]
