I should be receiving my new Denon 2802 receiver later this week (along with KEF Q7s, Q1s, Q9s & SVS sub), and I need to get all the speaker wires and interconnects figured out.

The .pdf manual on Denon's website doesn't mention which connectors the 2802 accepts....I was planning on banana style connectors. Will I have to solder on the banana connectors, or are they all mostly 'crimp type?'

Can anyone tell me if the 2802 does in fact accept the banana style connectors, and also what other connector options do I have for speaker wire.

Also, should I go with optical from my DVD into the 2802, or will quality analog cables work fine?

I'm looking for affordable cabling that yields high quality sound and video, I don't need 'the best', but I don't want to compromise my new system either.

    Thanks

The 2802 will take banana plugs.
