Cheapest one you can find - after seeing all the $35 ripoff opticals with GOLD CONNECTORS for chrissakes, I found a nice black plastic one (12') for $6.95 at Walmart or Meier's or the like. Good luck with your 3802 - nice unit.

You would be well advised to spend an extra couple of bucks on a A/R model. It will probably last longer.

I'd go with an Acoustic Research either performance (cheapest) or pro series (a little more expensive). The reason that I suggest those ones, is because they have very good build quality and the pro series has a lifetime warranty. That's worth the few extra buck for me.

I love the RCA home theater series optical cable. it even comes with an adapter for devices using another format than TOSLINK, such as Minidisc players...
Very sturdy, will last a lifetime, and not too expensive.

the general feeling on TOSLINK is that if it is built well, anything is good. Toslink is not much affected by cable design. It all sounds the same to me. I prefer Coax myself.
