For a pure "pop" album, my number one choice is ABBA. Check out the CD single of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town"/"Little Drummer Boy" for a taste of what might have been.

I also would have liked to hear Queen record one, especially in the mid-late 70's era when the vocals were so rich and the instrumentation so layered and full.

And for something a bit more interesting, how 'bout Electric Light Orchestra? So much of the Mannheim Steamroller/Trans-Siberian Orchestra stuff makes me think of what they would have done back in the day!

    Any other thought?

Simon & Garfunkel come to mind.

They released two individual Christmas songs--The Star Carol and Comfort & Joy (God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen). Both recordings are beautiful. I would have liked to have had more.

I'm sure I'll be back when I think of others.

    -Teena Marie

    -Tangerine Dream

    -Phil Collins

    Sincerely,

    John Kilduff...

I think my first choice would be the best, though.

Before the Crash someone suggested Sarah McLachlan, I agree. Also now that Diana Krall released her's that is one I was waiting for, now if Michael Buble' releases one I would be happy.

    James!

Michael Buble put out a five-song EP Christmas CD in 2003. You may want to look around for it on eBay. HERE is a link to an Amazon.com search for it. The amazon prices are making me think its hard-to-find.

No jewel case. That silver package you see is a cardboard sleeve. Songs include Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, The Christmas Song, Grown-Up Christmas List, I'll be Home for Christmas and White Christmas. It's very good (as you already suspect, I'm sure! [IMG] ). It is produced by David Foster and released on Reprise Records.

EDIT: A quick search on eBay reveals some LEs of his self-titled Buble CD which include a bonus CD of the 5 Christmas tracks. Good luck!

Thanks for the link Mike. I must have missed that one, no surprise! David Foster one of my faves for almost everything he does.
